Frequently asked questions

Still unsure? This is what most people ask.

Ten questions before you start. Practical questions about using Cloxo are in the help center.

Do I need to buy a time clock or badge reader?
No. A printed QR code, a PIN on a tablet or the app is enough.
Does the 2027 obligation apply to me too?
Yes, even with a single employee. Self-employed people with staff and micro-businesses are covered; read who is affected.
Is Cloxo compliant with that obligation?
Yes. Start and stop times, breaks, corrections with a reason and a full history, exportable for an inspection or your accountant. If the law changes, we adapt the app for free.
What does it cost, all in?
€7, €14 or €25 per month per team, depending on team size. All features in every plan, no setup fees.
What happens after the 30 free days?
Nothing, unless you choose a plan. No payment details upfront, no automatic invoice.
What if an employee has no smartphone or email address?
They clock in on a tablet or PC at the counter, with a personal PIN. No account needed.
Can someone clock in for a colleague?
No. The PIN is personal, and via the app the location is checked as well.
How long does it take to get started?
Create an account, add employees, print the QR code: a few minutes. No sales call, no installation.
Does Cloxo work for my sector?
For every employer with staff at a fixed workplace: see the sectors. Not for hospitality (it's built into the till) and not as a replacement for Checkinatwork on large construction sites.
Where is my data stored?
On European servers, GDPR-compliant, kept for five years as Belgian law requires. You can always export it or have it deleted; see our privacy policy.
